Eugène Atget is my favorite photographer, and although this particular photo wasn't done consciously thinking about his style, it is evident that my subconscious very much was. This was captured with my iPhone in Paris last November and echoes his work depicting shops there. I love to shoot through the "obstacle" of windows and play with reflections. I was so happy with how the presence and clarity of the building showed up on the glass, which places it unmistakably in Paris. I also love the variations of cream monotones, and of course the most beautiful dress! If you are familiar with Atget's photo of corsets, I think there is an uncanny semblance, and it shows just how deeply our inspirations seep into our own work.
